May 1st: "Star of merit for labour" award
Every year in Italy on 1st May for Labour Day, up to 1,000 medals are awarded to particularly deserving Italian workers, and the prestigious "Star of merit for labour" award bestows the title of "Master of Labour". This order is bestowed by decree of the President of the Italian Republic on recommendation of the Ministry of Labour to those over 50 years old and who have been employed for at least 25 years in one or more companies.

Privilege is given to those who have been singularly meritorious for their skill, industriousness and moral behaviour.

This highly prestigious honour is awarded for lifetime commitment and recognizes the fundamental merit of those who have had, and continue to have, an essential role in the competitiveness of our economic system due to their talent and dedication.

Among the 86 Venetian "Masters of Labour" who received awards this year at the "Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista" in Venice, in presence of the Italian Minister for Public Administration Mr. Brunetta and other authorities from the Veneto region, there was also Mr Girolamo Dal Ben, the Sales Manager of Coges, who has worked for the company for a good 33 years.

Coges congratulates Mr Girolamo for this merited award, which was achieved due to his industriousness and dedication to work.
